Title: The Grand Nonconformist
7 in. x 5 in.
acrylic on canvas
I named this painting The Grand
Nonconforminst because the glacier,
Grand Pacific Glacier, didn't wear any of
that beautiful blue that glaciers are famous
for. It didn't conform to the usual "blue"
glacier ideal. Instead, it was a greyish white
with plenty of earth tones. The colors, or
lack of them didn't detract from its beauty. I
loved how the dark lines meandered back
almost like traffic lanes.
